Friday, January 6th was Kindness is Contagious Day at Robert Gordon School. During the week leading up to the assembly, students were recognized by teachers, staff, and their peers when they made a kind gesture or action toward another member of our school community. The recognition was a bracelet for each student to wear to the assembly and keep afterward. We reached our goal of recognizing every student prior to the assembly! We celebrated the fact that identifying students being KIND was an easy, enjoyable task for us all.
At the assembly, the two winners of our logo and slogan design contest were recognized and presented with a T-shirt, depicting the winning entries. We officially adopted our anti-bullying slogan for the 2012 calendar year: Kindness is Cool At Our School.
Each homeroom class performed an anti-bullying skit, song, or dance, which were incredible. The song choices were perfect for the theme of the assembly, and the adapted and/or original songs were amazing. It was clear to everyone present how much hard work and effort went into the performances. Kudos to all of the students for a job well done!
